Personal Lab

Dr Stephen’s primary work over the past years has been the development and testing of an online platform for research and service for cancer survivors: CancerChatCanada. Based out of BC Cancer Agency, with collaborative input from program leaders, clinician-scientists and therapists across Canada, CancerChatCanada offers professionally-led, live-chat support groups for Canadians affected by cancer.  Dr Stephen supervises the CancerChatCanada clinical program and 3 full time staff, and leads training and research initiatives, including a national trial comparing peer and professionally-led online groups for young breast cancer survivors. She is an Investigator on numerous other studies in supportive and psychosocial care.
