Dual MSc.(Occuaptional Therapy)/PhD (Rehabilitation Science) Candidate Affiliation: McMaster University
Following my undergraduate study in life sciences at the University of Toronto, I am currently doing the combined occupational therapy and PhD program at the McMaster University. During my undergraduate, I had been actively involved in basic science research in understanding the tumorigenesis and metastasis of colorectal cancer at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. The volunteering experience at the rehabilitation settings has driven me to pursue my career in occupational therapy. With my great interest in cancer care and rehabilitation, I have focused beyond the pathogenesis and treatments for colorectal cancer and now studying the rehabilitation needs for colorectal cancer survivors. I would love to pursue my goal of becoming a clinician-scientist to translate my research to advance current clinical practice and to support survivors more holistically.
